Add space that belongs with your home
An extension should do more than add square metres. It must connect properly with the existing rooms, services, access and outside appearance. As house extension builders, we begin with how you intend to use the new space and how people will move between old and new areas. Early feasibility and design work test room purpose, natural light, heating, plumbing and electrical needs before construction fixes those choices in place. We can coordinate planning requirements, building regulations, structural input and specification decisions through the project. That joined-up preparation helps the finished addition feel like part of the house rather than a room that arrived late.

Know what happens at each build stage
The site moves through preparation, foundations, structure, roofing and weatherproofing before first-fix services and insulation are covered. Internal finishes follow, with inspections and final approvals built into the programme where required. We'll explain how access, material storage and temporary separation from occupied rooms will work. Our quotation breaks the extension into clearly priced sections instead of presenting one unexplained total. For additional protection, we can offer an FMB Insurance Services contract and warranty for suitable extension work, subject to the relevant arrangement.
Frequently asked questions
Will our extension need planning permission?
That depends on the design, property and relevant planning rules. We'll consider the planning route during early discussions and coordinate architectural input where needed, rather than assuming every extension follows the same process.
When are heating and electrical details decided?
These should be developed before first-fix work. Room use, furniture, lighting and appliance needs all affect positions, while early decisions reduce changes once walls and floors have been closed and finished.
Can you manage the extension from design onwards?
Yes. We can coordinate design preparation, structural information, required trades and the construction sequence through one contact. We'll also keep the quotation and programme tied to the agreed project scope.
